Need to update your website?
Once your website is live on the internet, you might find that you need to change things like images and/or text every so often, or perhaps more frequently, depending on the type of business you have and how frequently you need to change or add things to your website.
Can I change things myself?
Of course you can, we build all websites to be easy to use and provide guidance on what to do if you need help, and in no time you will be making changes and updates to your website with ease.
On the other hand, if you don’t want the headache of having to update your website or perhaps you simply don’t have the time, let us know and we can do all the updates as for you, and when you need them doing!
What are the costs?
To keep things cost effective, we charge website content changes and additions (such as adding images or text to a page, adding images to a gallery or adding a blog, and so on) in 15-minute increments which makes it easy to budget for less frequent changes, so you never need to spend more than necessary, or for more regular website updates we offer affordable monthly content updating packages (see below).
For ad-hoc website updates:
- 15 minutes: £12.50 + VAT
- 30 minutes: £25.00 + VAT
- 45 minutes: £37.50 + VAT
- 60 minutes: £50.00 + VAT
If you send over what needs adding/changing on your website, we will work out how long it will take us to complete the work to the nearest 15 minutes and confirm the cost with you before we get to work!
For more regular website content changes/additions, we offer a monthly retained service that provides up to 60 minutes’ worth of changes and additions each month for £50.00 + VAT. If you think you’ll need more than 60 minutes each month, please speak to us.
If you would like an extra page added to your website, such as a blog, gallery, content page, service page and so on, or a more complex page addition or requirement we would provide you with a quote first.
Technical updating of your website
One aspect that you should think about is the monthly technical updating of your website. Whilst this isn’t a compulsory service it is recommended.
Why do I need this?
Your website contains many different elements to make things work correctly, like the functionality of the website (contact forms, image slide-shows, Google maps, e-commerce) and other important ‘core’ website files.
Because of these elements, there is a requirement to ensure your website is kept up-to-date and the above elements / plugins and server-side functionality is updated on a monthly basis so your website doesn’t become outdated, compromised and hacked. It is important your website remains fully secure at all times.
If you would like us to keep your website technically updated each month we charge a monthly cost of just £50.00 + VAT.
