Terms Of Business

These terms of business set out our service to you in relation to all our digital media, marketing and technical / IT related services and are provided in-conjunction with our extended terms and conditions of service agreements for each service we provide.

Acceptance of terms

It is not necessary for The Client to sign any form of acceptance for these terms of business or our extended terms and conditions of service agreements. Acceptance of a cost, quotation or proposal will also mean acceptance of these terms of business, and our extended terms and conditions of service agreements for each service we provide.

Our service

We discuss your requirements and will make recommendations based on your needs. This will be presented to you either in a proposal or a detailed email after the meeting or conversation. We provide a range of services covering the following:

  • Digital Media (web design, graphic design, e-commerce, software and app development)
  • Digital Marketing (Search Engine Optimisation, Google AdWords and Social Media management)
  • Design and Print (Graphic Design, Litho Print, Digital Print and Promotional Printing)
  • Technical and IT (website and email hosting, data backup general IT related services)

Validity

All costs, quotations and proposals given are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of receipt.

Our process

All our services are provided to you based on a process that maintains efficiency, communication and transparency with you in all the services we provide. This process will keep you updated and involved at each phase of the project and you can choose to have as much or as little involvement as you wish. We will maintain regular email, telephone and face-to-face communication with you, so you are always fully informed on progress.

Response times

Hatchit (London) Limited aims to respond to all queries on email or telephone messages between the working hours of 10:00 and 17:30, Monday to Friday, within 2 working hours.

Payment terms

The fees we charge are based on the service(s) you require from us. Depending on the service, payments made are structured in one of the following ways:

  • 2-stage payment (50% deposit and a 50% balance payment).
  • 3-stage payment (50% deposit, 25% mid-way and a 25% balance payment).
  • Ongoing recurring payments, with invoices issued on the same date each month.
  • Payment plan or pay-monthly instalments.

We accept payment by BACS transfer, Cheque and PayPal (in some cases).

All deposit payments are non-refundable unless we are given 30 days’ notice before the project has commenced. Once any form of service has commenced, the first month payment becomes non-refundable.

Our payment terms are strictly 30 days.

Hosting services will be automatically suspended after 30 days without notice if payment is outstanding.

All other monthly services will be subject to suspension after 30 days if payment is outstanding.

In the event of The Client cancelling the Contract for any reason, the full outstanding balance of the Contract becomes immediately due, unless agreed otherwise with Hatchit (London) Limited.

All costs quoted are subject to VAT, at 20% unless otherwise indicated / stated.

Termination of services

Termination of services by The Client must be requested in a written notice and will be effective on receipt of such notice. We require 30 days’ notice for termination of any service with us.

Insurance

Hatchit (London) Limited is a fully insured business with a comprehensive policy that covers all services we provide.

Indemnity

All Hatchit (London) Limited services may be used for lawful purposes only. You agree to indemnify and hold Hatchit (London) Limited harmless from any claims resulting from your use of our service that damages you or any other party.

Complaints

It is our intention to provide you with a high level of customer service at all times, but if you should wish to make a complaint we have a formal complaints procedure. In the first instance you should email us, addressing your complaint to Ben Gidney, info@hatchitdesign.com. We aim to respond to you within 7 working days.

Confidentiality and Use of Personal Data

Applicable Law

These Terms of Business are subject to English Law.
