Okay, but how does your backup service work?

We offer our very affordable monthly cloud backup solution, which gives you complete peace of mind knowing that you have secure access to your files anywhere in the world via your PC or laptop, at any time, via our Google Cloud-based service.

With our Google based, Hatchit OwnCloud service we have designed it to be both cost effective and very easy for you to use. We start by logging into your PC remotely, so we can install our OwnCloud backup software and then designate folders to backup, or you can tell us which folders you would like backed up.

You can choose as many or as few folders as you like, however we do recommend having just one main folder for backing up purposes, so you can always be sure that your files are backed-up and safe from one location (folder) on your computer.

What happens once you have set up OwnCloud?

Once our software has been installed and we have added all the folders you would like to backup, it’s all automatic from there.

Your backed-up folders are constantly monitored for any changes in real-time, so whenever you save a new file (or edit an existing file) within one of your backed-up folders, the newly created or modified file will then be automatically backed-up (or synced) to our cloud-based Google servers in real-time, moments after you save the file – It really is as simple as that!

Can I have multiple users?

You sure can! If you have a small team or other individuals that need to access your files, we can securely share access to your data across multiple computers and laptops.

It it expensive?

It’s not we promise! Prices start from just £25 + VAT per month for loads of storage space (25GB in fact) which is more than enough space for most businesses in the early years. As your business grows, so too can your storage space, always affordably though!

Is my data backed-up each day? Is it done compliantly?

Yes, it is. Our data backup service is fully GDPR compliant and we also take further backups overnight, so you never have to worry about losing important documents or business files!

What are the costs?

We make it simple and cost-effective to backup your data.

  • 25GB storage: £25.00 + VAT per month
  • 50GB storage: £65.00 + VAT per month
  • 75GB storage: £75.00 + VAT per month
  • 100GB storage: £80.00 + VAT per month

What sort of files can I back up?

Any files you wish. From photos to Word and Excel documents or PDFs to videos – the choice is yours!

Are your servers secure? Where are my files stored?

Our servers are provided by Google and they are fully encrypted, secure and GDPR compliant. We take the security very seriously and we only use fast, enterprise level secure Google Cloud servers so you can back-up your files safe in the knowledge that everything is locked-down and secure.

Can I create new folders to be backed-up within my main backup folder?

Yes you can. Once your main “back up” folder has been added and is syncing to our Google Cloud servers you can add as many additional sub-folders within the main folder as you like.

I don't have a business but want to back up my personal files – do you offer this?

We do! We offer our Vaccoda OwnCloud file/data backup service to individuals with personal data/file backup requirements as well as businesses. Our service is available to everyone.

If I accidentally delete a file, will I still be able to get it from my backed-up files?

Yes you will. The benefit of cloud backups means we always securely store backups of your backed-up files, so even if you accidentally delete something, we can get it back for you.

Can I contact you easily for support if I have a problem with my backups or if I have accidentally deleted a folder or file?
